BMW Halbo Futuristic Eco-Friendly Bike Aims To Become Future Personal Commuting Solution

The Halbo is an electric bike concept that has been specially designed for BMW to be an ultimate and environmentally friendly next generation bike by featuring high end technologies and great aesthetics. The main idea was to create a transportation means that can run efficiently in the busy traffic of the future roads, while making it eco-friendly enough to contribute to the environment. This single-seater gets the energy from the electric power source and features an all-way rear axis with which the innovative sphere shaped wheel is attached. The front wheel is assisted by gyro and contains a space efficient baggage under the holo-screen panel.

Tissue Regeneration

One of the future inventions in health care may be the development of a spray gun for regenerating skin tissue.
The Armed Forces Institute of Regenerative Medicine (AFIRM), recently established by the U.S.Department of Defense, is funding research into the regrowth of bones, muscles, tendons, nerves and blood vessels.

The University of Pittsburgh's McGowan Institute for Regenerative Medicine will join a consortium of 30 institutes in regenerative research.Last year, a pathologist at the McGowan Institute regrew the severed fingertips of two patients in their mid sixties. Existing scar tissue was removed by an enzyme. Scarring inhibits regrowth, however cells derived from pig bladders can override the scarring process and attract cells and proteins needed for growth.

Another researcher with Wayne Forest University, is developing an inkjet device with cartridges containing tissue cells with growth factors. The device would dispense layers of tissue onto deep flesh wounds for healing and regrowth.

For surface wounds, a hand-held sprayer is in development, which sprays immature skin cells (called keratinocytes) onto the skin. Clinical trials with burn victims have been promising. The advantages of this technology compared to "grafting" is that it eliminates patchwork scarring and uses less skin.
"Conventional methods cannot return people to the way they were before" says biochemist Alan Russell, but it's within the grasp of science.

Needle-less Injection

This future invention is a device for delivering medication and vaccinations through the skin.
As an alternative to injecting a needle, micro-poration is a painless method of transferring medication (intraepidermal) into the body using laser technology.

A handheld laser creates micro pores in the epidermis of the skin for the transfer of molecules.
It has a familiar comparison to the "needle-less" device used by Dr. "Bones" McCoy on Star Trek. The popular sci-fi series has inspired more than a few new inventions including the "laser" and the "cell phone".

This new micro-poration technology is painless to use and requires no supervision to administer. The interfaced controls regulate the dosage. The advantage using this kind of invention that its enable user who afraid of needle to approach this kind of method using this invention thus reduce the wastage of needle after been use.

We all knew that conventional needle need to be disposed after been inject in someones epidermal skin. This will lead to reduce the wastage of resource thus optimize the full potential use in Medical treatment.

Insect Robots

Advances in microelectronics are making yesterday's science fiction into tomorrow's future inventions.
Scientists at the University of California have implanted beetles with miniaturized electronics that allows the insects to be controlled.

Research presented at a conference in Italy demonstrated a new technology for creating "cyborg insects".
The flying beetles receive wireless signals from a mobile transmitter that controls the insect. Varying impulses trigger an appropriate response from the beetle so that it fly’s according to its handler. The insect can be made to take-off, land, hover, or follow a given flight path.

Previous research concentrated on moths but giant flower beetles were easier to operate and could carry larger payloads because of their size.Further advances with nanobots and miniaturization will allow heat sensors and cameras to be embedded into the bugs. The insect could then be used for surveillance or search and rescue missions.

TERRAFUGIA: THE FLYING CAR

For almost a century people have attempted to build flying cars. Over the years many have tried and many have failed, but one company, Terrafugia fiction novelty a reality.
The Terrafugia Transition®, a roadable aircraft, has a promising future as tomorrow’s popular flying car. The first street legal plane for highways will be available for consumers the last quarter of 2011 at a price tag of $194,000 with a $10,000 refundable deposit (that's US dollars). The Transition® can land at any local airport and with wings that fold up, it can drive right from the runway, down the highway and straight into the garage without unloading baggage in between.
Built around an aircraft engine which runs on unleaded gasoline, this two-seater vehicle gets a respectable 30 mpg on the highway and has a top speed of 65 mph. With a 20 gallon unleaded fuel tank that’s about 600 miles on one tank of gas! That makes this little gem perfect for flying trips between 100 and 450 miles. On the ground, the Transition® can be driven on any road and parked in a standard parking or garage space making this the ideal multipurpose vehicle of the future!
Folded, this little baby measures 6’ 9” tall by 6’ 8” wide and is 18’ 9” long. With wings extended it’s 27’ 6” wide. The cockpit has an impressive 51” shoulder height.

License Requirements for Terrafugia Transition® Flying Car
All planes require a licensed pilot to fly in and out of local airports. But, since the Transition® is certified as a Light Sport Aircraft, it requires only aSport Pilot License (20 hours of flight time). On land, the vehicle operator is required to possess a valid driver’s license.
With over 5,000 public airports in the United States, the Transition® is a go anywhere kind of vehicle with only 2,500 feet of runway space needed. On average, there is a local airport within 30 miles of any destination.

To get airborne, the Transition® uses a rear propeller to thrust the vehicle forward at about 115 MPH with a flying range of approximately 460 nautical miles. Once on the ground, the wings fold up and sit vertically on the sides of the vehicle. This process takes about 30 seconds. Once the wings are folded the driver directs the engine power to the wheels and safely drives off the runway..

The Floating Cities.......

Have you ever imagine that this world will be fulfil by floating cities???? This all can be achieve within several years from now according to Dubai(UAE). This super mega project was named as Lily Pad Floating City.
Most of us had heard about the Islang Cities that was build by Dubai, when nowadays they came with new super mega project that idead by Vincent Callebout in order to solve raising sea level problems. Many scientists have predict that the sea level of the world will increase extreamly in the future assumying that global warming problem cannot be resolve. If the sea level contiue to increase extreamly, this will result the sinking of several cauntry like Maldives, Philipines, Singapore and others. To overcome this problem, floating city was introduced in order to help those country that will be affected.

The “Lilypad” would take advantage of all of today’s green technologies, including generating power from the sun, wind and water, and would produce zero emissions from its residents. Don’t expect to see construction on one of these anytime soon, but don’t be surprised if, like the Island Cities in Dubai , real estate starts branching out into the oceans in the next decade.

Besides that, the “Lilypad” also can make dream becaming true which is travel around the world without any worry. Can you imagine we can go anyway all over the world without disturbing our daily raotine or our daily work. You can travel to south america, europe, south asia, or even to south africa while you are busy with your daily routine. It will be an awesome experiace right!!!

Apart from that, “Lilypad” also can give us experiance in living on the sea, continue our life with surronding by the sea. Imagine that when you wake up in the morning, open the window and suddenly you eye can see how wonderful sun was “rise from the sea”, such a beautiful scenery. Yet, during the night, you also can see another beautiful scenery when the sun was “back into the sea”.

Each of these floating cities are designed to hold approximately around 50,000 people. A mixed terrain man-made landscape, provided by an artificial lagoon and three ridges, create a diverse environment for the inhabitants. Each Lilypad is intended to be either near a coast, or floating around in the ocean, traveling from the equator to the northern seas, according to where the gulf stream takes it.

The project is not even close to happening anytime soon, but there is value in future forward designs like the Lilypad. They inspire creative solutions, which at some point, may actually provide a real solution to the climate change problem. Hopely this things will became a reality.......perhaps maybe........
